This is the view circa 1991 of our 16 Roundhouse locomotive shed, with some but not all of the locomotives being prepared for the days work. left to right, Bagnal 'Hazel'; Hunslet 'Dinorwic', Romulus 'Tom Snoxell', Romulus 'Louisa Jane', Hunlset 'Susie-M', Romulus 'River Rythe', NG15 'Douglas' & LMS Royal Scott 'The Lancer' .

London Midland & Scottish Railway 4-6-2 Duchess class No 46229 'Duchess of Hamilton'

This class of locomotive represents one of the most powerful express passenger locomotives used in Britain. Known colloquially as ‘Duchesses’, the locomotives worked the West Coast Main Line.

There are three surviving "Duchesses", City of Birmingham, Duchess of Sutherland and Duchess of Hamilton

A3 Class 4-6-2 locomotive and tender. No 60090 '' Grand Parade'' in British Railways Express Passenger livery

The locomotive is seen here with Ian Proctor driving Grand Parade, the locomotive was built by Ron Warren in 1995.

The locomotive is now at the Great Cockcrow Railway at Chertsey in Surrey
